Review: My Lord & Berry Lipstick crush

So I’m feeling refreshed from my holiday in Antibes, France and have a beautiful sun kissed glow to match. As you all know I have recently become a fan of lipstick crayons and have stumbled across Lord & Berry a brand who specialise in professional makeup pencils. Since becoming a crazed fan of lipstick crayons I am constantly on the lookout new exciting brands and I must stay this particular range is a god send as they offer a variety of beautiful shades, so there is something for everyone. I have two gorgeous shades to match the mood I am in on that particular day.

Lord & Berry -  Lipstick crayons
Here I am wearing a shade called "Intimacy", which is great when I am going for a more natural look. I love that this colour has a slight hint of mauve which is great match for my skin complexion.

I also love bright coloured lips at the moment and here I am wearing Lord & Berry’s lipstick crayon in their “cherry” colour. It’s a beautiful deep bright raspberry shade once applied, and I love wearing this shade to brighten up my outfit and also it’s a focus point as it is the first thing you see.

My last minute shoe bargain!

So my lovelies I am off to Antibes, France tomorrow morning and being the shopaholic that I am I decided have a wonder around the shops to look for some last minute holiday bargains. Of course I found myself wondering into Office shoes and I immediately become flustered with everything that was on offer. I must say Office has a fabulous sale on at the moment and there is definitely something for everyone.  I managed to settle for two fabulous Flat sandals which are perfect for my short break.

Offices shoes

I had my eye on these nude studded T-bar sandals for a while, and to my delight they went on sale. Therefore without a doubt I was purchasing these beauties. I think they will look nice with either a cute little dress or a nice pair of shorts. With them being Nude means they will go with almost everything.

My second purchase was these studded tong sandals, I am a fan of this style of shoe and I have quite a few. These were only £10 on sale down from £28 which says it all really, not often you find cute sandals at a bargain price. These will look beautiful with almost every outfit, and the rose gold studs will definitely bring an edgier look.

Those were my bargains of the day, you should definitely get yourself down to your nearest Office store or grab yourself a bargain on http://www.office.co.uk/

Protecting your hair when styling

Now I am a straightening fanatic, and cannot go a day without that 185 degree heat touching my strands. Therefore it only makes sense that I have a really good heat protector to keep my locks intact. Over the years I have tried and tested loads of different heat protectors, so some would say I am experienced in that department.

Kerastase and Redken

I absolutely love Kerastase Nutritive NectarThermique heat protector and no matter what I seem to use I always return to this gem. When I blowdry or straighten my hair I found this product gives a soft and supple feel throughout without that sticky feeling when running your fingers through your hair. It also has a beautiful scent to it and considering it’s a cream it doesn't weight down your hair at all.
This for me is a Definite 10/10 as I can’t live without it.

I gave this Redken Iron Silk 07 spray a go, as I wanted to try a new heat protector. Unfortunately, I was hugely disappointed in this product, as I felt that my hair was left feeling sticky (even though I didn't spray too much). I also noticed that my hair was becoming very tangled - a problem I don’t really have. I was left with that silky feeling that I am used to when using other heat protectors.
I am very sad to say that I will not be re-purchasing this product and I will have to mark it 4/10.

If you are on a budget for me the L'Oreal Studio Line Silk & Gloss Hot Straight Cream is a great product. Now when I am having a bad month and I can’t afford my expensive heat protector, I always go for this beauty. I feel it is good value for money, and it does what it says on the label. It leaves my hair feeling soft and has a glossy effect, I feel it is light weight on my hair and doesn't weight it down. My only issue is after a day I feel it gets a little greasy other than that I give it a 7/10

Arm candy for the day

So my lovelies today I have three beautiful and might I say cute bracelets adding some glamour to my wrist. I am a huge fan of bracelets and these three have their own sentimental value behind them but I won’t bore you with my soppy stories.

Pretty bracelets

I was given this beautiful sterling silver Pandora charm bracelet by my sister, I love the fact that it doesn’t look like a typical tacky charm bracelet but still has the same idea of adding different charms to it to make it your own.

I also love this Links of London sterling silver Sweetie bangle, with this you can also add charms if you wish to the link holes. I like the look of the bangle plain because I tend to wear a few bracelets with it.

I bought this Evil eye bracelet from a cute jewellery store when I was on holiday in Miami; the apple green colour drew me to it. I have a few evil eye bracelets that my Turkish friend gave me when she went back to her home town for a holiday. I am always on the lookout to buy some here in London so if anyone knows of any where I can purchase some please drop me a line.

Getting Fit

So summer is around the corner and as you all know panic mode has now kicked in, that bikini body needs to happen ASAP and of course my fitness level is my second priority. Now I have found the best training ground in central London, a cute little spot in Maida vale called Paddington recreation ground.

Paddington recreation ground
This little gem has everything you could possibly need to get fit, a running track, indoor gym, tennis courts, outdoor gym facilities, and a large park area.

Large Park area
I tend to use the running track and outdoor gym equipment and it cost absolutely nothing. You can even find boot camp and fitness groups training there which can be the push you need to keep going. For me if you live or work in the area you should definitely try it out if you need motivation to get in shape.

My fitness gear:

I have purchased a whole new fitness wardrobe that includes a few Nike “Dri-Fit” technology leggings, my favourite ones are the capri style. I also love these Nike running trainers because they are so comfortable and move and support my feet when running and working out.

Whilst out running if you have a smart phone you should definitely download the Nike running app for some direction.

My two favourite things at the moment

This month I absolutely love my classic handbag from Louis Vuitton the “Speedy 30” and my beautiful heeled sandals from Zara.

Louis Vuitton "Speedy 30" & Zara sandals

Here you have a classic not to mention iconic piece that was made famous by  Audrey Hepburn. For me it’s the perfect bag for everything, you can fit everything you could possibly want inside, I think I have managed to fit a pair of heels, a small cardigan, makeup bag and all the unnecessary things that I insist on carrying and it still manages to look cute on my arm. This truly is a Mary Poppins bag for me because the things I can pull out of this bag are at times endless. You will love that it can fold completely flat, which is great when storing it away or when you are travelling.

A truly classic must have that continues to add style and class to your outfits.

I am obsessed with these shoes since the day I first laid my eyes on them, these are great for any occasion. You can wear them with absolutely anything; here I’m wearing them with leggings for a casual but smart look for the office. They also look fabulous with some stylish Harem pants.

The lace up look is a great look this season, these are a great find.
